Wait, what? Did I hear that correctly?

Lada Gaga has co-opted the devil horns?

That shit cannot stand. I was willing to let everything else slide, but I will never let pop music steal the devil horns. I don't want to go through the same feelings I experienced when gay people stole the rainbow.

Wasn't she in "I Am Legend?"

I like Will Smith. There's no denying that the guy is smart. I'm sure he had some hand in this. I'd be willing to bet that he wants to mold his children as much as he can into his own image. I wouldn't be surprised if he asked one of his kid's best friends to change his name to include "Jazzy" in it. With all of the stuff from the late 80's and early 90's being remade, I wouldn't be surprised if Jaden got picked to star in a New Fresh Prince show.

That said, I had to stop the song at 1:27, because the "chorus" was too annoying.

I lost all respect for Will Smith when I found out he was a scientologist. Never cared for the rest of his family though.

I really be sooo pissed if they remake the fresh prince. It's amazing how it is. leave it alone!

I applaud you for getting that far into the video. I am ashamed to say I paused Amon to listen to that garbage.

Yeah, because that definitely cancels out his nearly epic acting career, as well as a short run creating music that a lot of people still listen to.

About this Willow nonsense, I don't see any problem with it. And I liked Wicked Wisdom after I saw them on tour.

Me being a hater:

Frankly, I don't see what's so 'epic' about his acting career. He took on a pretty brave role (at the time, anyway) in Six Degrees of Separation, but after that, then what?

Bad Boys, Independence Day, Men in Black, Enemy of the State, Wild Wild West, the Legend of Bagger Vance, Ali, MIB II, Bad Boys II, I Robot, Hitch, the Persuit of Happiness, I Am Legend, Hancock, and Seven Pounds.

Now then, let's disregard that on the face of that list, roughly half of them are more or less the same role.

How many of those have stood the test of time? I thought Independence Day was as awesome as the next kid back when it first came out, but trying to go back and watch it now is painful. Bad Boys was fun, but let's face it: it didn't require any real acting skills, as evidenced by the fact that Martin Lawrence was acceptable in it.

No trash talk for Men In Black, but was it 'epic'? I sure don't think so. Enemy of the State was one of those "I seriously can't believe I paid $12 to see this in the theater" movies for me, Wild Wild West would have been a complete waste of time without Kevin Kline, Bagger Vance was worthless without Matt Damon (HOLY SHIT, did I just say that?!), I Robot sucked, so did I Am Legend, and so did Hancock.

That leaves us with Ali, the Persuit of Happiness, and Seven Pounds as the only real projects of merit since 1993..

Epic? Hardly.

Just my opinions, of course. I have lots of them. :fawk:

It kind of does. He isn't as vocal about it as many Scientologists but he supports an organization that preys on gullible peoples bank accounts. Hence he lost all of the already little respect I had for him. I will say that this did not stop me from enjoying I Am Legend, which just happens to be the only good movie he really has ever been in.

[EDIT] Will Smith has said that he is not a Scientologist, but he does indeed make large donations to the Church of Scientology (among a couple other Jesus oreiented churches). Also there have been some other famous scientologists that have denied it when asked. Of course I have no idea what the truth is but the fact that he supports them is enough for me to dislike him.

This.
Also just for clearance I still enjoy his movies, as I really like him as an actor, but it still itches me that I may or may not be supporting scientology by "supporting" 'him'.

Regarding the above post (synrgy's post), I can understand what you mean, but just because an actor is constantly getting typecast doesn't mean they're not *really* good at that role. Yeah, let's face it, Will Smith really only plays himself in a lot of the movies he's been in, but once he's been in a role, can you imagine anyone else? I honestly couldn't imagine anyone else possibly playing J in Men In Black. People don't go to his movies to watch a character who's "played by Will Smith," they go to see "Will Smith."

He's a good action star, he makes people laugh, he's got HUGE on-screen charisma, and he's proved that, when the chips are down, he really can act. He may not have an epic acting career, but he is infinitely watchable, even in movies that are otherwise craptastic.
