So I removed my neck pickup, tone knob and toggle switch to strip down my workhorse. She is so light now and is better balanced (she wasn’t balanced from factory)

I have some new feedback. Wondering if I need to tape the now open holes in the cavity where the knobs where or if it’s my soldering (I swapped the bridge pickup)

Unless you are playing infront of a CRT screen I really doubt that the small hole of the knobs can let some of the noise get thru... so probably your soldering. Check all ground wires are there, maybe you took out any with one of the pots that you forgot to put back to the knob you have there or any other ground on the guitar. Or just the pickup can be noisier than the previous one...
