Anyone have any experience or info about shecter's quality from indo vs ibanez I know Ibanez is not so good unless it's a prestige. But i was able to score an mk7 kmiii demo from sweetwater fairly cheap so im excited since its a 26.5 and I've heard schecter mii are not bad is this true? Oh and it does have a roasted maple neck! 20200520_104206.jpg 20200520_104550.jpg 20200520_104803.jpg

I had a MK3 indo and a korean version. Mk3 indo was solid, but needed some touch up on the fret edges and I had to do some minor nut filing/setup work. Same stuff I've had to do to nearly every guitar I've owned.
The Mk3 korean version was meh. The binding looked horrible like it had been gnawed on by beavers, and there were lots of tool marks on the fretboard. Fit/Finish was lacking for the price point, especially compared to the SLS elites and KM7 MK2s I've played from the same factory.

Is the Floyd a 1000? And was your axe made in indo? I'm assuming it was. I'm not a schecter expert. I've always been an Ibanez guy. But recently started to try LTD, and now schecter.

There's a 1500? How is it different from the 1000. SK has always made better guitars than indo I'm sure some indos are hits tho

didn't seem like any noticeable improvement over a no name plastic nut. I still think a graphtech nut (when well cut) is as good as it gets

I know Warmoth has compensated nuts out of the same Graphtech Teflon stuff, which I would guess is the best of both worlds. Too bad Schecter hasn't gotten on that bus quite yet.

I just did some research on what the whole purpose of a comp nut is designed to do and I'm very intrested now.
