Mark posted a video playing part of It's Only Smiles on Twitter and he's definitely playing a seven string SE. Here's a low quality image where you can count the holes in the bridge.

Loved my Holcomb SE, but not particularly interested in a 7 of it. What i would be interested in is a CE Holcomb to bridge the gap between SE and Core (like the Waring model) in a 6 or 7. That would be an auto purchase for me.

I'd agree. It's understandable that a Core 7 doesn't seem feasible to PRS atm, but a mid-high end CE or S2 7 would be a welcome addition to the line.

I don't even have a need for another 7 atm with my Universe and Regius as the majority of what I'm playing is on 6's these days but honestly if they did a Holcomb CE in a 7 only I'd have to buy it

I know that I will get roasted but I really cannot stand the bird inlays. :(

I just hope they update the color. It just doesn’t look good on the SE. Doesn’t really look like a “fade” which I’d prefer just a “burnt meat edge”.

I really don't need another PRS 7 string since I've already got one, but fuck it I want this.

I imagine that the Holcomb will have a much flatter fretboard radius too.

That's why everyone including Mark calls it the "brisket burst". Depending on the individual top, it can look good or bad. I'd like to see it in satin or a satin Jade Green or Black Gold like on the Core models. I wasn't a fan of the Trampas Green. Meh. Macassar Ebony was obviously awesome though.

    Pretty cool.

I choose to be an optimist and say that more PRS 7s, even SEs, is a good thing as maybe that will help make a stronger business case for a Core ERG.

Hopefully has a 27 inch + scale length like their other baritone models. Stainless steel frets would be icing on the cake.

Jade Green I 100% agree would be amazing. And PRS does some of the best deep greens on their pricier models. I’m glad trampas green exists for those who love it (and man do people love it) but it’s not for me.

I'd kill for a Holcomb CE 6 or 7. The SE is very nice, but I'd just much prefer a higher quality instrument.

Would be awesome if I liked quilts. If they do a macassar version too that'll be hard to resist

I'm guessing 26.5" scale. If I remember correctly that's what his private stock one is and I think the 8 string they made for him was 26.5" as well.

This is his MO. Ignore the requests and comments, and slowly start showing it off more and more on social media. He did it with the 6 stringer
