I've found 2 tabs for this band on the internet and that isn't enough! Why wasn't this band more popular? I think they sound sick as hell. Anyways, if you know where I could find a transcription of the song let me know! I don't want to have to ask Nick (the guitarist) for the tabs. He probably doesn't have them.

I'm not great at this sort of thing but, I've already (kinda) started tabbing it out. I just worked out the intro and a bit of the drums but, it's probably wrong and time sigs are probably wrong as well but, ehh thought I'd share it just in case. Perhaps, somebody with more skill than myself could transcribe it.

I'd try emailing Nick and seeing if he has anything written down. He's a cool guy and could even check what you already have tabbed.

I'd personally would love a tab for Clockwork.

Clockwork is such a well thought out song. What really catches my ear in that song is the jazz section with the saxophone melody. It's a killer.

Update 2: I've made a bit more progress. So, far I'm working out the drums/time signatures for the next few sections and I fixed the vocal melody over the chorus a bit more. The section that is killing me right now is a section that I've appropriately named "Guitar solo insanity." It starts at 1:52 in the song and ends at 2:03. I'm having difficulty deciphering what time signatures I should use for it...The off beat snare, the kick groupings, and just being able to hear what's going on is tough but, I won't let that stop me! I made a promise to myself that I'm going to finish this transcription no matter how shitty it may turn out.

The pattern for the kick groupings in "Guitar solo insanity"
    4,6,4,8,4,10,12,6,4,8,4,10,8

The amount of snares I can hear: 13

Yeah the band itself is no longer active. Maybe try DM Nick on Instagram? He was posting before Christmas.

@RoRo56 It's worth a shot. I'll try and DM him on there.

After, doing some digging I was able to find a full transcription for the jazz guitar solo that starts at 3:13! I found it on the Ever Forthright FB page. (It was a post from 2012 lol) It's only a tiny portion of the song but, it'll help out a lot when I get to transcribing that particular section. I'm just excited to finally find something on the song.

I'm still working on update 3 at the moment. These last few sections have been intense and are really putting my skills to the test. My goal is to have everything leading up to the jazz break figured out by tonight. [IMG] [IMG]

I had no clue that there was an instrumental release of the album. I can already hear a few things that I could improve upon. One thing is for sure though I can definitely hear a layer choir ahhs in the background of a few sections. I'll add that soon. Even though I love the vocals on the track it's so much easier to hear everything else without them...The further I peel back this song the more layers it has. It's just one big onion lol.

Here's a link to the instrumental release:

    Update #4
No big leaps of progress have been made with the jazz break but, after doing some research I think the jazz break is in the key of B Minor...I could be wrong. I got the clean guitar rhythm at the beginning all tabbed out along with the jazz guitar solo at the end. Transcribing the saxophone solo on guitar has been...interesting. I still haven't figured it out all the way but, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to figure it out! I believe the most enjoyable part to transcribe is going to be the piano solo. I love playing piano. I'm just going to plug-in my midi keyboard and go to town on it. More to come stay tuned!
