Not sure how they compare directly as ive never played the e530 but i was really impressed by this pedal, mind you its just "based on" and not a clone.
Sounds better in person imho, my interface tends to make lowend sound a bit mushy plus im not the best at recording.

I remember seeing those Master Effects pedals a while ago and not only do they have the Engl but they also have Diezel, Mesa and a whole list of others. VERY reasonably priced as well considering the options that are available on them. Not to mention that you can also get it with custom paint and/or graphics on it.

Yeah for sure, and its just a little 1 man operation.
It sounds even better in person. Imho this as good as some of the top higain pedals out there. Id prefer if its controls were simplified though.
And btw im not being paid to advertise lol just speaking my mind.

Master Effects? I think he’s based here in Calgary. I met him and bought a pedal from him a few years back. He does good work.

I will add this....I have an Engl E530 preamp in my rack. It's very good and has a good advantage with lower tunings over many others I own. Definitely does the Brutz with an OD in front. If a pedal can come close you will be happy for down tuned, modern metal.
