    And about swedish musicians, i seem to run into them all the time.
    I've met Anders Friden like 7 times. First time was when i was working at the show "walking with dinosaurs". I was dressed up as a T-rex with a stupid dinosaur head on my head. And when i saw him i shouted, ANDERS!!!, he looked very strangely at me...

    So how are the roads in the winter? Is there a service that maintains and keeps them pretty safe? I only ask because I live in a place with a horrid climate and I dream of having long freakishly cold winters haha.

    yeah they get plowed and salted. but they're still basicly cover with a thin ice. so driving with summer tyres is a no-no. :nono:

    so we use studded tyres (where more ice than asphalt). and special for-nordic-market-only wither tyres.

    That's pretty handy. If it ever ices over here people freak out and either don't leave their house or just wreck their vehicles. I may try and leave the states after I finish up school and the lands of the Vikings are rather intriguing :)

    My favorite part of my company-paid trip to Norway:

    Seriously Norway, quit hogging and sell that shit in the US!

    Also, saw a sign for Gojira in Bergen. Wandered around for literally 2 hours trying to figure out where they were playing (since I speak ZERO Norwegian...). The locals were friendly enough but clueless. I thought ALL Norwegians were into metal. Guess not. :lol:

    Gave up and decided to get a beer. Then, randomly heard a kick drum soundcheck. Bingo! Got a ticket at the door and saw a great show :metal:

    Also, I'm a 6'4" 200 pound whitey with red hair/beard (i.e. ginger). Multiple people asked me questions in Norwegian, haha. Felt very ignorant when my response was "Uh...sorry...American."

    Double also, met a girl who lived in the same village as the frontman for Immortal. The way she described him he must be bipolar as fuck, and I can't blame him with that weather :eek:

    But the fjords were GORGEOUS. And there are little villages plopped next to mile-high cliffs on the river with zero road access. :nuts: Great trip altogether, even if it was for work. Norway is pretty awesome.
