I usually draw free hand and work out dimensions from on screen pics etc but just don't have much spare time with work commitments right now so does anyone have any links to plans of a Roswell ?

I can't say i recall seeing any drawn up plans for a Roswell Rhoads anywhere. They're probably out there somewhere though. Maybe try that Unofficial Warmoth Forum. I've seen allsorts of plans on there for differenr shapes.
I know Perle Guitars does bodies with the regular jackson style bolt-on pocket and also ones to fit an RG neck. I doubt that he'd be up for plan sharing though, being a businessman and all.

I've always liked the original aluminium bodied one the best. I like the ridges machined into the body on the ally one and i love the LSR tuners too. I wish they still made LSR's.

There's loads of good straight on Roswell Rhoads pics online and it's got pretty straightforward body lines so i wouldn't imagine it would be hard to draw up the body. It's got a nice even arched radius front and back too.
It would be cool to do the crop-circle inlays!:metal:

'Dropbox' is good for sharing pdf's online or i suppose you could email it to him as an attachment on the email as pdf's are very small files usually.

Those plans aren't accurate. I know this because i printed a few and they are usually smaller.

I did build a Roswell Rhoads, but i took as a reference for scale was the pickup size. You know that humbuckers have a standard size, take that in account, and make a template in MDF to see if what you come up with is larger or smaller.

also, The roswell rhoads has a radius top. If you plan on adding a top, bear that in mind.

Plans are fine if you print them to the proper scale.
It sucks having to do this but it's easier than starting from scratch.
It does have a base line to figure out what % to print it out at for a fullscale template.

Sorry for double post. Since the link appears to be working right now, the specs size comparison wise is:
    6 string
    25.5" scale
1.406" nut string spacing with a .148" extra each side (.296" overall)
    2.359" bridge spacing

Those plans look really, really good, Jacobine. I downloaded them too. Thanks!

This is the one i made a long time ago. I didn't have one to compare, i just made the plan by printing the picture until the pickup reached the real measures.
