Show your self build or customized necks or even better would be pics of the building progress. Reversed and standart builds are welcome.

I´m very interested in neck through constructions.

I did a pretty cool custom job on a RG7620 neck:

Because there is no aftermarket RG7 except the Xiphos 707 (neck through) with a reversed headstock...and as I´m electric mechanic engineer.....

I had some idea which I thought about 2 weeks maybe and
so I "reversed" the headstock by myself.
I cut it off with a saw and put it back on reversed. To keep it in it´s original shape I used carbon fiber which I laminated by myself(front and back) and refinished it.. The fiber is also good to be sure 150% that the neck doesn´t snap.
    Don´t try this at home!
The headstock is not only glued back on...

How did you reattach the headstock?

Anyway, Looks like he cut it off, drilled dowel holes, and reglued it. Not the most stable way to do it, and hopefully it doesnt rip out as it ages.

Adding wet layup carbon fiber as a veneer does absolutely nothing to add strength. Im curious to see the back of this cut joint.

Wouldn't buying a left-handed neck and adding new side dots make more sense? Maybe the rounded neck heel would complicate things....

1.Exactly... Keep in mind you havent seen how I laminated the carbon fiber...+ you haven´t seen the backside + there iss a locking nut on the neck. So there was not that much space for some dowels.

    2. It´s not just a layup :nono:

Edit: Anyway just an idea I wanted to realize... accomplished! ;-)
