Ah, the internet.
Those guys are both pretty old fashioned metalheads I think. Jim root said something about how a 7th string would just confuse the shit out of him.
Pretty cool 8 Joey has there. Didn't know he played.
Now I dont feel bad playing my RG8 as I thought I had small hands but Joey is like a midget.
Isn't Joey part of some death metal/grindcore project with the guy from Amen?
Doesn't he have a signature seven string though?
Amazon.com: BC Rich Kerry King Signature 7 String Electric Guitar: Musical Instruments
Yes he does
Pretty sure they're talking about slipknot's guitarist, not Kerry.
I was talking about Kerry King.
This should be renamed "OMG jump on bandwagon material"
The funny thing is that he actually played some riffs on an 8-string couple years back on Jonathan Davis' solo album.
Slipknot's guitarists were mentioned, but if you follow the conversation on the first page, they were talking about Kerry King and someone asked if he had a signature 7.
I remember seeing a interview with mick him saying that he dose have a seven string but he finds to have more use out of it with a high string instead of a low string.
But back to the topic. I'm really interested in what Joey has come up with a 8 string. To be honest i kinda want BCrich to release that as a production guitar. I love the look of it.
I wish Kerry King would do more 7 string stuff...
(sorry for straying from the topic)
whoops, sorry i thought mick said that
Here's what Kerry King said:
First Bich I've ever seen that didn't look stupid to me.
Bump because Jed Simon seems to be using it now.
Jim used a rg2228 to record a cover of got money with Jonathan Davis. And i read an interview where he said a 7 would be cool to check out.
