What size of cable is better to plug straight to the instrument input of an audio interface?

Is some impedance or high end reduce due to the analog to digital conversion? If yes, then short cables are better for Di recording?

Yeah the longer your cable you are essentially turning your tone knob down. But it's very subtle unless it's a long cable and/or a particularly dull spec.

I notice tone suck with 20' cables or longer. Stick with 10' or shorter unless you use a buffer, DI Box or you can use a bypassed pedal with a 100 Ohm Output Impedance.
