I think I messed up and had the cab sim off looking in hindsight but I hadn't used this thing in at least 10 years and it still works.

Entertaining video, kinda reminds me of when I had one of those line 6 rp100 pedals and the korg toneworks. Back when cheap multi-effects pedals didn't have the ability to add in a noise gate. Still fun to dink around with when feelin nostalgic.

Never had that pedal, but I had a Zoom 505 for a long time when I was a kid. There are still a few "metal" sounds I miss from that thing occasionally. Whatever their Rectifier-ish model was could be a massive beast through a real guitar cab. However the were handling noise floor in that pedal was stellar, too. And the super wet phaser sounds were perfect for nu-metal!

I still have a 505...nobody would buy it off me. Since it runs off batteries it actually saved me when we had a hurricane and were without power for 2 weeks, I practiced on headphones.

I had one of the original generation 505s, too.

It was so bad I'm pretty sure that to this day it's the reason that I use virtually no effects beyond some light stereo delay on leads.

There was just like no mix adjustments for any of the FX. They were either on and wet, or off.
