    Hey team,

I tried searching the forum but couldn’t quite find what I was looking for. I’ve got an Ibanez guitar (RG7CSD2) that I’ve heard was a limited model, but the serial number would suggest otherwise.
More recently, I saw one of our members mention that J Custom and other limited model SN#s are almost randomly generated, going against the conventional decoding system.

Does anyone have a resource for production numbers? That may be too big an ask, but I figured it was worth asking.

    Thank you!

Those were made 20 years ago and were only officially sold in Japan, so there's probably no way of knowing short of finding someone who worked at Hoshino and was involved in that series at that time.
