Hey peeps, new here to the forums. Just bought a stock 1077XL and was looking for some pickup input. I'm looking for a very aggressive bridge pickup, a neck pickup that has that "buttery" sound, and a single coil that has that spank sound. Thanks in advance.

What type of music are you playing on it? Elysian is really cool to deal with, I spoke with him for awhile about having pickups built but ended up going in a different direction.

Bit of a coincidence that Elysians would be suggested - I just put some in my RG8527 recently. Adam is phenomenal and can make pretty much anything you want. I went with a Trident II / Hellfire hybrid for the bridge and a ceramic Javelin for the neck, absolutely zero complaints and highly recommended.

Yeah, he was so helpful and engaged I actually felt bad about not giving him the sale but I found exactly what I needed for that guitar on a fluke purchase for little money. I’ll buy something from him in the future, he made such a good impression.

Mostly metal with a lot of clean guitar as well. I've never heard of Elysian. I'll have to check them out

Nice, let us know if the routes in the guitar were deep enough. I was able to avoid deepening my routes for Dimarzios by modding the pickup to have the wire exit the side instead of bottom.

one thing to note: Lundgren can make a custom pair of their pickups with the dimarzio style flat baseplate with triangle ears if you contact them before ordering. I did this with a black heaven set for my RG2027XL and they fit perfectly and theres no need to modify anything or worry about the routes.

Enjoy the black heavens! They are killer pickups and sound quite good clean as well.

That is good to know! Sadly I contacted Johan prior to purchasing these and he said he's not taking any orders until September.
