Just to follow up on a post from a thread that is locked (though I'm not talking about the actual topic of that thread):

People should get upset, because you're not making any sense. Science is a methodology. It can be performed in a piss-poor way, a so-so way, an exacting way, or everything in between. But theories that withstand greater scientific scrutiny tend to have more predictive validity. That's the crucial point, and why we are able to build increasingly sophisticated theories piecewise on the backs of others.

Pseudoscience, otherwise known as "believe whatever you want to", has no consistent predictive validity, and are therefore, not legitimate forms of science. It is like a broken clock being correct twice a day. For instance, in Chinese medicine, there are many herbs / powders / materials that will have some effect on the human body. You randomly throw things at people for a thousand years, and you find out some general properties of these compounds. But you also get guys poaching Rhinos to make penis powder from their horns. That's where pseudoscience gets you.

Also, love isn't incompatible with science.

You so certain "big hard horn should make you big hard and horny" is the sole logic behind rhino horn potions?
