Hello! I was really happy with my PRS SVN, but felt the pickup were not tight enough for the music I write. I has a couple of green juggernaut on the side, and decided to get them covered and throw them inside. Here's the original guitar: Here is with the Juggernaut inside: For some reason, I just felt the modern style of the jugg wasn't blending well with the more vintage part (cream pickup ring, cream switch cap, and pot knobs). I then re ordered new one in black, and here is the final result: The juggs are a bit bulkier than the stock pickup, so pickup routing as well as pickup had to be altered. It was painful, but worth it in the end. Can't believe how much the general vibe of the guitar did change after these small tweaks. Cheers!
Nicely done. I skipped the SVN (owning a Custom 24-7) and went directly with the Holcomb SVN. The pickups sure make a difference. I also can absolutely recommend installing locking tuners and a Graphtech Nut. Those are the only parts of the SE series that are really subpar.
You got a real looker there! Nice top. I love my se model. Nice choices on the upgrades, good move with the black rings.
I juat commented this guitar on reddit. That's a beauty and the pups&black pickup bezels are a great improvement on the overall look.
This is how that guitar SHOULD look from the factory. That is WAY better looking. it might be cool to dye the fb black, too.
Damn, that looks awesome! Really been GAS'ing for those newer SVN's. I've got two of the older models that I did the exact same thing with, threw a set of Aftermaths in the sunburst one and Painkillers in the amethyst and they both transformed into straight up murderers, easily my favorite 7's now.
