Seriously guys, if it's good, it's good.
now, excuse me for a moment
the backside of the headstock says Cor-Tek.
the official site of strandberg effective of 2019 says '...our 'genre guitars' are built by Cort in Indonesia', This is the only production site in Indonesia mentioned, although there are other countries mentioned.
Cort is a brand name of Cor-Tek.
This is the first time I hear MIC Cor-Tek is better guitar overall than MII Cor-Tek. Please explain.
Same factory doesn't equal same quality.
It's about how much QA/QC the brand wants to pay for as well as pre-shipment checks.
Doesn't matter to me where it's made. If the quality is good, then it's good.
I'm sure people who are smart enough to make cars and iphones can't make a good guitar...
They make guitars at the quality they're paid to make. Labor is cheaper there. A $200 MIC guitar will be better than a $200 american guitar. A $1000 MIC guitar will be better than a $1000 MIA guitar.
No, I just lost all interest in PRS when they went overseas in 1997 or whenever it was... So this is just another step in an even worse direction for me.
That’s nothing, Eastman make £2000 guitars in China. And they’re excellent.
Care less about where something is made and more about whether it’s any good.
Sort of. I can see just accepting the differences in labor markets, but China is a bit of a special case, when compared to S. Korea, Indonesia, etc when it comes to the country of origin leaving a morally icky taste in one's mouth.
Fair point; I was simplifying it to the ‘Chinese products shouldn’t cost as much’ argument.
Still don't understand the price of the recent schecters, strandberg or Ormsby tbh...
like 1500 euros almost for an import Ravendark , or red apocalypse ? I'd rather buy some US 2nd hand guitars....
I care about where it’s made. I try not to support modern day slavery.
Makes PRS American Again
Chinese factories seem to handle more semi hollow, acoustic models for brands than most other countries unless I'm mistaken? And do them pretty well.
Acoustics and similar are a lot more labor intensive than solid bodies, that's just how it is, so early on it made sense for production to go to the region with the lowest labor costs.
-cracks a Bud heavy- "Damn righ*BUUUUUUUUUUURP*t son." -turns KAG hat backwards and DVRs Cops-
Nah, DVR's for libtard cucks. Just watch the "too hot for TV" DVDs you got from the Wal-Mart.
Oh, for FUCK’S SAKE.....China manufactures iPhones and their top end Android counterparts....and we’re still debating whether or not they can make a decent GUITAR?
Some Chinese plants have been making objectivly BETTER guitars than Gibson for two freaking decades now......♂️♂️
*BUUUUUUUUUURP* Fuck yeah doggie. Gonna pick up that Judge Judy Too Hot for TV too.
Yeah let's not support guitar builders in China so they have to resort to even worse paying jobs or go unemployed... Makes total sense
Yeah it's a shame PRS ditched their entire US line in favor for a shitty Korean sweatshop.
