How is Drab Majesty on this bill? I mean, I like Drab Majesty... but it's not very much like Carcass or Power Trip or Deafheaven or any of these bands except maybe True Widow but not even really then. Just kinda surprising!

Am I the only person bothered by how much the topic buries the lead? Fucking RAZOR are playing... but the band you mention in the thread title is Power Trip?!?! Come on!

Oh, ok, I thought it was the shitty pizza-thrash band by the same name.

EDIT: Oh wait, the shitty band themselves are organizing this, it's not a promoter who was unfortunate enough to have the same name?

just to be clear for us millennials, is pizza-thrash a pejorative term? I've never heard Power Trip before but man I fuckin love pizza so you're kinda selling me on them

I know you don't like any bands from this century that more than 5 people have heard of, but Power Trip is a pretty big band (commercially and critically) at the moment. You could at least appreciate they are exposing a younger generation to Razor and Vio-lence.

What the hell is pizza-thrash? Saw Power Trip open for High on Fire, pretty excellent live.

I love Drab Majesty, though you are right, seems an odd mix. But I share the enthusiasm for the diversity of this show, wish it would come to my neck of the woods!!

And since GosT seems to have morphed from a synthwave project to full-on black metal, I'd say synth-based music and metal seem to be holding hands a lot lately. Perhaps bonding over a common thematic morbidity.

Not even the most try hard internet metal dweebs consider Power Trip to be "pizza thrash." You're reaching pretty hard there, bud

I’m very surprised that Gatecreeper isn’t on that. Feel like they’d be a perfect addition.

I may have to check this out. And I’m onboard for anything called Pizza-Thrash.
