We here are some pics of a guitar that I refinished for a friend of mine. The paint job was her idea! I wanted to paint it different but she was paying for it so this is what she wanted. Let me know what you all think. She loves it. And this is her first guitar as well.

I think it turned out OK but not that great. I would prefer a maple neck and a white pickup but this was the only pickup I had around so it went in. After she saves up some cash it will be replaced with a white EVO.

I almost forgot I filled in the neck pup and the Floyd routes front and back. I got the body damaged and it had to be fixed. Both of the Floyd pivot points were cracked and ripped from the body and they could not fixed. So I filled them in and put a fixed bridge on it. I don't have any pics of it but it now has pink DR strings installed.

How did you "fill in" the studs and routes? Wood cut to shape? What did you do?

With a maple board and a white EMG 81 that thing would be metal as fuck. Good work Matt. :hbang:

The guitar was built for a girl. She wanted me to copy the print on a blanket she had so I did the closest thing to it.

I filled the route holes with wood and fiberglass body filler that you use to do body work on cars. It works better than wood filler because its really strong and it never shrinks.

I think it turned out great. If she's happy, that's all that really counts.

I like it, but if I were to get this done there wouldn't be any white showing through. I'd also use moch larger "blobs" of color and more "vibrant" shades.

I wanted to do "larger blobs" but this is how she wanted it. I wanted to go for the woodland camo look but with these colors.

Yeah, a maple board would really be nice on that. I like it.
