PedalSnake powered board (HX Effects)

I’ve always wanted to try out a pedalsnake to get rid of the power cable to my pedalboard and clean up my sends/returns, but if you have loads of pedals you need that expensive power supply. I replaced a bunch of pedals with an HX Effects recently, and pedalsnake support said I could power it with the included power supply through the snake. I thought that was pretty slick and wondered if anyone has tried something similar?

yes I did this years ago with one of their pedals and an HD500. It works great! I will say the weird MIDI-style connectors are the only reason I do not still use pedalsnake.
