    Bump

I was going to post this... but I hit the search button.
I first heard this by accident via YouTube.
Didn't want to like it because I'm an elitist bastard, but its grown on me to the point of fever.

Love this. More people need to check it out.

Yes, please. Not trying to pick on you, but I think you may be confused about "metal elitism." This is a (relatively) avant-garde death metal album by a band signed to Translation Loss (not to mention the artwork by Jef/Wrest) . This is precisely the type of album a metal elitist buys on vinyl and puts on their year end 'best of' list.

That said, I do quite like the album.

Precisely. Unless metal elitism has taken on some newer, lamer form, this is what "real" metalheads are listening to... not that that matters

Sorry, I should have stated that I am rooted in 80s/90s death metal eliteism and I've heard this all before. But I will say it does fall into the trap of current eliteism of the YouTube Anthony Fantanos of the world just as you stated above. Referring to death metal as "avante-garde" is also really irritating to me. But that's just me.

I'm an old man okay haha.
