OK to stack amp heads and have two plugged into a cab (only one active at a time)?

Sorry for the incredibly noob sounding post. I've been playing for 29 years but please understand I've never has two amp heads before. I currently have a Bugera TriRec and a Mesa Triple Rec and was thinking of stacking the Mesa on top of the Bugera. The Bugera is much more usable for home volumes whereas I know y'all know the non-multi watt Recto's are insanely loud. Anyhow, my concern of course is heat dissipation, however I've seen plenty of people on Youtube keeping their heads stacked so I'm guessing it's fine? Second, I'd like to plug them both into the same cab, both 8ohms, and I would only ever have one head on at a time. Is that fine to keep two heads connected to the 8ohm inputs when only one is active? Again, sorry if these questions sound silly. Just want to be sure and figured it's easier to post then Google both questions and sift through results for an hour.

    No issue stacking heads whatsoever.

Use an ABY switcher pedal like Radial to switch between the two.

Having both amps plugged into the cab sounds like a bad idea.. I assume you would be plugging them both into parallel jacks.. I would rewire the cab for stereo so each head powers 2 12s.

You want a radial bigshot aby with grounding and iso switches to run two to the same cab/proximity.

Stacking is no problem, do not plug both amps in at the same time either switch the cable or as budda suggested buy a cab switcher.

You need to switch the loads. Stacking is no problem.

It’s okay to stack them but you need to get a third to arrange them in a Stonehenge configuration for maximum safetyness.
