i would love get a similar inlay done on a custom guitar, but would have a hard time choosing between an african or european unladen swallow...

So long as it's made from coconuts, you'll do fine.

I'm at 44 months myself and other than a once a year e-mail with Barnes asking general questions I've only had a single bit of correspondence with Dylan via the new e-mail, just saying he'll be in touch - that was back in March. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit hesitant about things given how they're progressing.

actually the 12th fret marker it gonna be 2 european swallows gripping a coconut by its husk...

...flapping their wings at 15 beats per second of course.

It's not a question of which fret it grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios. Two 5 pound swallows could not carry an 8 pound guitar!

that would be true if they were european swallows...

but if they were african swallows it would be possible.

Welcome to the club my friend..Is it possible to identify who, at least in this forum, are in the waiting list for more than 30 months? Personally im on my 28th, but it would be interesting to see how deep the backlog is.

Yeah, but African Swallows aren't migratory.

Hi all, first post here but been following this thread for a while. I'm also on 44 months waiting since I paid the deposit. Last I heard was November 2019 when Barnes got in touch out of the blue about selecting woods and making the second payment but, since then, nothing. I emailed Dylan a couple of weeks back using the email address on the website, and tried FB Messenger, just to ask how things are going but haven't heard anything in response.

I was originally told the build would take 2.5-3 years from the deposit. I'm not too bothered about it taking longer, and appreciate that if Barnes is no longer involved then Dylan is going to find it harder to cover both admin and luthiery, but it would be nice just to have some idea about the timeline for completion. Or if the build has even started?

the real time currently is about 5-6 years. There are a lot of people like you and even worse in terms of time waiting. He is currently working on a batch of of orders from 16 if m not mistaken. Also loads of people are trying to get in contact via all available platforms but he is ex-communicated. If you ask me, you have about 2 extra years of waiting. I probably have like 3 so yeah.... happy times... not

Looks like a silver Cimmerian is up for sale on Reverb. Owner is reporting he paid $4800 USD including taxes and shipping when new from Daemoness in 2018. Price seems high for the spec, but if that's indeed what he paid, the $4000 asking price might be worth it to someone on here.

Still for sale as far as I can see. Someone put in an offer on it, however. Doesn't look like the seller has accepted it.

Assuming that guitar on reverb was another 5+ year wait....It's so weird to see someone wait so long for a guitar for it to be so, well, basic? I expect if you're going to put up with the crazy wait times everyone is talking about in this thread it is going to be something fancy.
