It seems like somebody’s having a little hyperbolic freakout desperately trying to disconnect himself from what he perceives to be the start of the end of Daemoness as a reliable builder.

I'm not sure what you really want. No one on this board has the power to give you your money back.

Regardless of whether you do or don't, or right or wrong, you are having a freak out and you are lashing out at folks for no real reason.

I can’t speak for Dylan but when I was in the queue there was no refunds on the deposit and you couldn’t sell spots.

You aren't going to achieve anything on here so your best option is to email Dylan and see if a solution can be found. If he does allow you to sell your spot then I can point you too some people who will buy it off you.

Be polite and remember you signed up to the build queue by paying a non-refundable deposit. Good luck in finding a solution.

Like I said in that thread, it's one that we know of.

That's still not great odds, especially considering just how bad that one was.

You'd figure they'd be doing a lot more damage control considering their business model. :2c:

Well hey now, if he gets a refund we all benefit by 1-shorter queue. If he relinquishes his deposit, maybe there's a discounted in-stock. Good, good.

If you help him sell it, then I've been essentially cut by some rando. Less fun.

Discounted and in-stock aren’t two words that I’ve seen together with Daemoness

I thought the silver cimmerian (the one that had the Raiders sticker on it for a while) was offered up for less than it would have been to order new?

I think because it was partially paid off, but the guy couldn’t buy it out or something. Don’t quote me on that.

You really like to misuse words that you think are helping you ‘win’ in some fashion.

It’s interesting that you appear to believe that throwing out completely inaccurate terminology at people as insults will help you magically be right in a situation where you have proven beyond any shadow of doubt that you are ill-prepared to respond to criticism of any sort.

To address your specific sad attempt to insult me, you’ve used a term to describe someone that is blindly and enthusiasticallly defending something with unerring consistency. In actuality, I was pointing out your actions without making even the slightest effort to defend Dylan’s work in any way.

You should work on not being so fast to jump to attempted personal insults, it makes you seem childish.

For real though, what's your mechanism for getting your non refundable deposit refunded? You ask him for it very sincerely until he says OK?

Can you elaborate? With how this thread is going, these vague messages aren't helping lol...not trying to be a jerk, but any insight is appreciated (speaking as someone whose build just started). Thanks!

it's like an avalanche business model, that is destined to crash sometime (soon).
i understand shops that plan for one or two years, but five? that is beyond any understanding to me, from a buyers standpoint.
a five years backlog is actually not a good sign and a reason for caution.
    imo...

There was a plan to bring it down to a 2 year wait between ordering and finishing but that seems very unlikely now. Once you get to that big a queue the only way would be to close it for a few years.
