Never thought that I'll own a boring black Ibanez, but here it is. Got it in a trade for my Carvin DC700, which I didn't play much anyway, since my Banshee covers all my 7-string needs. And while I wasn't GASing for this exact Ibanez, 6-string with a trem is just what I was looking for, so it will do.

Guitar has some small dings on the lower horn and near the output jack, and hardware finish isn't perfect, but otherwise it's in great condition. Previous owner also swapped stock pickups with SD Blackouts and upgraded volume pot. Now all I need is to change strings to a lighter gauge, take out ZPS system and figure out how to make trem arm to stay put more firmly and it's good to go.

    HNGD.
I owned the 7 string version of these beasts myself. Still regret selling it though.... was a hell of guitar.
The sound war a little bit too dark for my taste, but it played extremely well.

From the pictures it looks like the previous owner painted the top of the fine tuners black. Or is that what you meant with the hardware finish not being perfect?

I love the blackout'd look of this guitar. Any comparison or insights between the Blackouts and EMG's?

Nice one man! I've been hunting for this exact guitar myself! It's tough to find one here. This an awesome design from Ibanez. The matte black on this guitar is archetypal, the body shape, its the perfect 26.5 inch scale guitar.

    Thanks, guys!
Oh, I thought that they were black originally, and then wore off a bit.
I don't have any experience with EMGs, but previous owner said that he finds Blackouts to be more dynamic, almost like passive pickups. I'll share my thoughts on them once I'll play this guitar enough!

Just googled it, seems like I was wrong. Black is the fine tuner's stock color.

Slaeyer, yeah, some other parts are also black.

    vkw619, I'll keep that in mind :)

    Some impressions:
Gave it a proper set up, took off ZPS and tuned it to drop B. Plays really great now! I don't know if it's because of Blackouts, but sustain is awesome on this guitar. I like the bridge much better now with ZPS out, it's much easier to make subtle vibrato and flutters are just crazy. As for the sound, I'm not sure how much I like it for rhythm yet, but neck pup is really good for lead stuff, very clear sounding. And since I liked sustain and trem so much, I was basically jamming some Fallujah-like leads most of the time, haha.

    Thanks, everyone!

Can anyone answer this question for me? Not sure what kind of parts will fit Edge Zero/ZPS3 trem... Nevermind, I'll just ask Rich.
