So.. I don't know how many of you are into overlooked solid state rack Preamps from the 90s, but heck, I know I am.

I initially got this one in a trade. Then I spent a lot of time trying to get it to do the damn thing for me and failed. Then I finally figured out how to use impulse responses as well as properly dial in the way more powerful than it needs to be EQ. THEN I got some serious, gross and gnarly tone out it. Which can be heard here.

Then I was broke and then I sold it. Not a good move.

However, I finally managed to persuade the dude who bought it to sell it back to me, so now it has returned. I am happy. This is a stupidly underrated unit, even if it is pretty finicky and absolutely not very user-friendly. I am looking forward to playing a lot of super disgusting Slam riffs on this. I'm happy.

I think that is the unit that eventually became the Metal Zone pedal.

I used one of these for a couple of years. Grindy, and the clean is pretty cool.

I don't know about. I keep hearing about how there is an HM-2 in there as well, but I don't feel like I hear the Metal Zone, tbh.
