So my new Tight Pre from Airis came today. I can't say how it sounds for the brutal stuff yet because my 1 guitar is in the shop. The only guitar I can play right now is the girlfriends which is a stock Squier Affinity Jazzmaster with the thinnest string guages Elixr makes lol. But, I can say the Tight Pre does something beautiful to a clean tone. I already loved the cleans on my ISP Theta Combo but, this really makes me love them more. Its like hitting a bright switch and flipping on a light compressor at the same time. The clean channel doesn't break up and theres no added mid hump. I'm thinking this may end up being an "always on" pedal. Overall build quality is good too. If anyone wants a gut shot, I can add one. Also, this little PCB came in the box too. Not sure what it is or what to do with it though. Any pedal nerds/builders keen on what it might be?
