So my new Tight Pre from Airis came today. I can't say how it sounds for the brutal stuff yet because my 1 guitar is in the shop. The only guitar I can play right now is the girlfriends which is a stock Squier Affinity Jazzmaster with the thinnest string guages Elixr makes lol.

But, I can say the Tight Pre does something beautiful to a clean tone. I already loved the cleans on my ISP Theta Combo but, this really makes me love them more. Its like hitting a bright switch and flipping on a light compressor at the same time. The clean channel doesn't break up and theres no added mid hump. I'm thinking this may end up being an "always on" pedal.

Overall build quality is good too. If anyone wants a gut shot, I can add one.

Also, this little PCB came in the box too. Not sure what it is or what to do with it though. Any pedal nerds/builders keen on what it might be?

Are the bass and treble controls active like the TC Integrated pre?

As far my ears can tell, yes. At noon, nothing is added or removed from either bass or treble

I’ll post a gut shot tomorrow. Even it is a rullywow PCB, I’m fine with it because rullywow doesn’t offer fully built pedals. If they did, i would have bought from them awhile ago.

Hey, do you have any idea where to find the component values for this midboost? I emailed Airis and the didn’t get back to me. Also can’t find a phone number for them

He is super active on facebook, posting a couple of times every day. Try shooting him a message on there.
