    Nice guitar! :yesway:

Thats awesome that its only like 6.5 lbs. That is very light for a guitar, especially with all that maple

That sure is a gorgeous instrument. :yesway: I always did wonder about the fret access, though.

Huh. I just saw that about the poor upper fret access. That's a bummer. I never noticed that in the design. I'm so used to really high fret access on most of the guitars from luthiers on here I don't even look at that anymore, but that is pretty shallow on the lower cut there.

Im guessing he plays with his thumb on the backside and closer to the bottom half of the neck. When I try and play that way it puts my hand in a position where I cant get the upper frets on mine either. It just gets in the way. But I don't naturally play that way and I don't have issues with upper fret access on mine. I actually tend to naturally have my thumb more behind the low string or over the top side of the neck where the binding is. Maybe I play the wrong way but with the way I play it keeps my hand more behind the neck and upper fret access is no big problem due to there being less hand in the way. If its an option to play with his thumb like me and he is still having this issue then I guess its just the difference between our hands. It is no doubt tighter than an Ibanez and not as much access as some other guitars, but I have no problems with the upper frets with how I play. This is why the upper fret access hasn't ever been an issue for me and why Ive never even had a need to express it as a personal concern. Maybe another owner can chime in if what Im saying makes sense. Brandon, try adjusting where your thumb sits and your hand should adjust accordingly and get out of the way. Maybe you already do play that way or maybe you hate playing that way and its not an option.

I really do like what he's done with the fretboard. It's a shame to hear the story of you actually getting it though.

Bring on those HQ pictures

Congrats on a beautiful guitar. That top is really something, I can only imagine how it looks in person. A shame about the lower horn though. It does look pretty aweful. (Aesthetically it looks fine, but I can just feel my hand hitting the cut away.)

Its really not a deal breaker to me. It just immediately stuck out to me in my first 5 minutes of playing and felt it should be noted. None of my music relies on that upper fret access.

The fretboard is truly a thing of beauty on this guitar. The clarity is superb with the 27.5 scale

So great to see you finally got it, even thought it has a bittersweet taste.
To put it in perspective, Brandon put down a deposit just a couple days after myself, and I got mine in february last year. I can only imagine how frustrating this must have been.

Putting all that aside, it really looks great, awesome wood choices and specs!

So... You paid for a full on custom but he wouldn't even let you pick the tuners? Jesus.

I mean, that's one AWESOME guitar, but Vik really is a dick.

That's what I took from it. Beautiful guitar, and HNGD for sure, but come on. If you're forking over thousands of dollars for a custom build, you should be able to use whatever tuners you damn well please. It shouldn't ....ing matter what tuners he likes or doesn't like. That's bullshit.

Damn sweet guitar, but I don't think Vik will ever see a penny from me.
