So after re-reading the "best v guitar of all time" thread for the umpteenth time the V GAS finally got the better of me. I ended up buying a Gibson Robot V, which is currently off being refinished in white. but while I'm waiting for that to return, I couldn't help but pick up another V. So here it is... Specs: Mahagony body Maple/Mahagony/Wenge Neck through 25.5" Hipshot hardware BKP Warpig SS frets pretty simple, and a fantastic player. I'd put this on par with my older Mayones ('12) The neck profile is a definite C shape and strangely thicker than i was expecting but very friendly no less. The fretwork is prestige level if not better. There is an arm bevel which is neat to look at, and provides some relief from the small round over edge. Its very well balanced, but i notice that my nylon straps tend to let it dive just a smidge vs my cotton strap. I think i've boiled down my favorite on paper specs now. Mahogany body Maple or Mahogany neck Ebony Fretboard Locking Tuners SS frets and lastly a family photo, sans my Gibson V. I'll be doing a NGD for that when it arrives and i assemble it again.
