Wow! I just received my Sully 622 and it's a beast. These models are priced between his custom line and his korean made line of instruments. They are built by Jon Sullivan himself but have very limited specifications to keep costs down. I chose shell pink nitro, roasted flame maple neck and board, and an H-S pickup configuration.

This guitar is set up in drop C and the action is delightful right out of the box. Frets are butter, neck is smooth, and the finish is beautiful.

The pickups are fun as well. They're Grover Jackson pickups, wound by the man himself. The bridge pickup was a custom design and didn't have a name so I named it the Special Sauce pickup, as the guitar looks like the color of burger sauce. The pickups seem really nice thus far, I'll just have to adjust the neck and bridge to have more similar output as the neck setting is a bit quieter though the tone is amazing.

Here are some quick pics and a family photo as I haven't done that in a bit.

I also just put a deposit down on a Sully Stardust(the shape of the guitar between the pink mustang and the pink 622) 7string in a similarly bright finish.

Gonna go play it some more, cheers!

The 622s are some of the best looking/coolest modern strats around, and Sully seems like a legit good dude.

    Rock it out!

Nice. I'm a sucker for HxS strats especially in that color and with that neck

Been stalking this one in Sully’s feed. It looks and sounded really rad. As the owner of an 624T, I know this plays and feels amazing. Hope to get on board with this at some point, but this is exceptional.

Would love if these ever make it to the Korean runs.

I'm pretty sure he's said on a livestream that he wouldn't do the 622 as a Korean run. I assume that's mainly off of the fact that he's making it himself at such a reduced cost in comparison to a full custom and he probably makes more money in doing these small runs of more simplistic designs than if he just handed the design to a foreign manufacturer. He's essentially selling an Ibanez AZ in a more appealing body shape with your choice of pickup config, wood figuring, and polyester or nitro finish for less than a new Ibanez AZ.

I remember Sully from the old JCF days. I’ve been thinking of getting one of his guitars. I missed out on his import line (I’d have ordered his star/X model) and have been debating getting a custom build from him.

how do you like it and how’s the quality? Is it on par with other Jackson Charvel builders like GMW/Chubtone/ Learn/Luxxtone/ ect?
