You can get bound boards on custom Suhrs IIRC.

This is news to me. I don't think I've ever seen one, so I assumed it wasn't possible. It's also not an option in their builder, or Matt's.

I think the options are just bugged on the modern. The standard has options for black, ivoroid, tinted ivoroid or white

If I remember correctly they don't do binding on 24 fret models. So Standards get binding and Modern/Modern Ts don't.

What came in your guitar? I’ve got an Aldrich in the bridge of mine and it’s thick and chunky sounding. I had an SSH+ in my first Suhr and that one wasn’t bad but I like the Aldrich better

I don't like those, I find them dark and mushy. My favorite pickup is the SSH+ which pairs well with the SSV, much brighter and sharper with more push. Then as others have said the Aldrich for even more aggression

Like he said..those just aren’t the right pickups in the guitar…the SSH+ or Aldrich would be a noticeable improvement. Just grab one used off reverb and try swapping the bridge out.

I ended up ordering a Duncan JB bridge and Jazz neck as I have that set in a Jackson USA Kelly and I absolutely love them. Reverse zebra to match the existing ones.

I liked the DSV plus alot, it felt like it had the treble rolled off. String separation and solo tones were good.

I didn't have trouble selling them either.
