Hoooo! This one is veeeery special!

Mahogany body, buckeye burl top, wenge/walnut neck, ebony freatboard bound with walnut, BKP Aftermath

for those who are wondering, no bass is not muddy because on the non-slanted pickups. ;)

Wow that thing looks great. I don't know anything about Strandbergs so I'll also ask about that very interesting neck carve. Any effort to adapt to that coming from a standard type half round C/D/etc type profile?

Can definitely understand that it’s not a neck for everybody... personally I find it very comfortable even if I don’t always play with my thumb behind the neck. Adapted quickly and can go back and forth between endurneck and regular shaped ones without effort.

Well I'm disappointed you're not joining my boycott of J-bodens for their ridiculous prices, so I can go in with some haggling power later this year, but looks pretty cool. Love the bridge -- I really wanted to get a pearl white with red hardware boden back in the day, before all the custom shops closed up.

Yeah the price pull was a bit hard to swallow on this one LOL... and shame that all custom options are now gone for production only :(

Is this one heavier than not J series? Every J model seems to be not chambered

There were some chambered J models from 2017 or so, last I checked. Maybe some more recently as well. Or maybe they just wrote the spec page incorrectly, which is possible.

Nope ordered through Ikabe Gakki... very nice guys... and as there was no rosewood or similar there wasn't any Cites issue...

This Boden J is clearly chambered… (but knocking on the top you hear it clearly).. but yes the Boden J classic made of basswood are often not chambered… which Don't mean they Don't sound good…

Shame that they are so expensive. This guitars speaks to me at a spiritual level  Just not ready to shell out the kind of money they are asking for them
