Hey guys, I wasn't sure which sub-forum to post this under, but since this is technically a baritone guitar I figured it would be welcome here.

So I saw that some of the guys on this forum had done 27 inch conversions for Ibanez RG's, but hadn't seen any for strats. I had a strat that was being neglected because I wasn't as comfortable with its neck anymore, so I decided to switch out the neck for something new. I worked with a guy over at the telecaster forum, and he built this awesome 27" conversion neck where we added an additional fret and overhang to the end of the neck to give it the full 24 frets, rather than 23 like you would normally get from that kind of conversion.

No modification was needed on the guitar except for sanding the pickguard down a little bit to accommodate the overhang. The neck plays really well, and it's a lot easier of a transition when switching from a 25.5" compared to my 28.625" baritone.

    Well, here it is:

Hope you guys like it, it was a fun project for sure and brought new life into that guitar.

Aw man thats awesome, 24 fret strat without messing up the proportions with a too-short body.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. The builder thought it would be a neat project and I'm really glad we went for it.
In case you were wondering, the fretboard is wenge and the neck is maple with mild birdseye figuring.

Here are the requested clips, I made these rather hastily before I posted this thing up on the telecaster forum so they are not great.
Guitar is tuned C-C, run through a PRS Archon and Line 6 Firehawk for effects.

Awesome guitar! I put an ALLPARTS 27" neck and a Wilkinson trem on a squier strat many years ago and it was insane, everybody should own a strat like yours!!
