For many years I have avoided Paulas because of the shape, which I find not so pleasant to play compared to Teles and of course Strats. However, the PRS has exactly the sound that I have been chasing for even longer, sometimes more, sometimes less intense. The slight emphasis in the lower midrange compared to the "usual" Les Paul provides such an incredible sound with just the right foundation. I've definitely had way too little play time so far, but my AXE presets, which I made for the Funeral for a Friend "Hours" (one of my all time favorite sound/band) tone with a Tele (which also sounds incredible) have become a lot more authenitic. This Singlecut is from the year 2000, so "pre lawsuit" and was modded with the original intonable bridge. What I find really sick is that the guitar sounds equally full and fat over the whole fretboard, which I had never experienced before with any other guitar.
