I finally got this guitar that started being a RAN Crusher until the company collapsed and got me in the middle of the process. This was the original project:

    !_GONZALVES_front _v2.jpg

Skervesen took the project that were still somewhat profitable as they took some materials from the the deceased RAN warehouse and made affordable prices for some of the clients that got stuck in this situation. I guess it was not only me, but I don't have the precise information. The communication with Skervesen wasn't always fine, because sometimes they graze unpoliteness (or maybe it was my fault for asking too much, which wasn't always replied) but there are some guys at the company that are a real delight to talk to, attentive and caring.

The final project change in colour and also neck material, and the fretboard wasn't the same, but anyway, I'm very happy with the results. The guitar is a bitch to make good pictures of, as you can choose either get a good pic of the body or the fretboard, but not both at the same time because of the obvious difference in colour. It's comfortable in spite of the particular neck shape in V or something like that. I got used in no time, though I still prefer the ultra slim RAN neck. The building is neat, I was very interested in it being light for severe chronic back problems I have and it turned out as promised. The pickups are a sure value as I had them in other guitars (7 string version). At the beginning I wanted to try something different but being slanted I didn't want to risk it and went for good ole versatile and brutal Juggernauts.

Well, here are some pics, as I said before, they didn't do justice to the real beauty of the guitar :)

    HNGD!

As for the color and top change, was that you changing your mind over time or was Skervy unwilling to do the purple see-through?

Because let's be honest, purple is the best color.

    Cool one! HNGD!!!

Quick question, is the second switch for the world domination mode? or coil split?

Great guitar, and good that skerv took over the build!

Love, but damn it should be purple ;)

    Thanks everybody, hahaha

YES, I ADMIT IT SHOULD BE PURPLE BECAUSE IT IS THE BEST COLOUR! xD

But... I already have a purplish guitar and I thought it should match the colour of my drummer's kit better:

Thank you, mates, I'm very happy with it, yes, superb and tight wiring as couldn't be otherwise!

EDIT. Now that I remember, I had severe issues with the wiring of my RANs, there always was scratching noises when turning the pots, and I had to take them to my tech to instal a huge metal plate under the pickups to reduce the noise.

Skervesen, on the other hand uses good electronic components, the pot is silent as it has to be, Fuck yeah!

I realize they're not in the same ballpark, but Ibanez should take a page from this book with the "layered" forearm contour... and the finish for that matter. For a satin finish it looks incredibly deep.

Congratulations! It looks like you came out on top of the RAN fark.
