I'm always on the prowl for polish guitars with nice tops. I absolutely love natural non-dyed quilt/flame tops and I managed to get this for a decent price late last week. Plays wonderfully and the craftsmanship is pretty much perfect, like every other Skervesen I've owned. It's got BK Nailbombs and, surprisingly, I actually like them a lot. Other BK pickups I've tried before sound kinda strange to my ears but these sound great from the short time I've played them. My hands don't get along well with 8 string necks so I bought this planning to string it up for Drop E.

Wow! That's an astonishing lookin' axe!! Such a great build and one of the best NGD's I've seen on here in a while! Nailbombs are my fave BKP's.

Nice axe? How's the zero fret, any problems there with the string clicking on divots?

    Rosewood & Wenge I think
    Yep.
The zero frets super smooth. I've never had an issue with one on any of the guitars I've owned before that had it.

That is REALLY a great looking axe. I played a Skervesen a few years ago now, maybe 5 or so and the build quality was great but the fretwork was in need of some TLC and it was direct from them. I've always wanted one of these guitars, especially a few of the crazier body styles! How is the fretwork on this one? I suspect as they have gotten more guitars built they have perfected the fretwork.

    Great score, looks amazing!

I own one of the first Raptors (S/N 026), a multiscale 7, and it has A LOT of quality issues. The worst one being that the headstock of the original models was significantly narrower than now and it broke in the middle. Exactly at the narrower point. If you ask me, I think this is a design problem (and they ended up updating the design) but I wrote Skervesen and they took no responsibility.

And that’s just one of many problems, sound-wise it’s also sort of disappointing.

I’m sure they’ve improved their quality recently, because I keep reading great things about them, but for me Skervesen is a “never again” builder.

Congrats dude, looks awesome. I've had mine for a year, and I legit haven't picked up my other guitars since. Definitely my favorite neck profile ever.

Just curious, how long was the build time? I'm on month 8. The wait is a bit brutal, but they did a fantastic job on my neck inlay from the pics I got. They're just now starting the body so once I get those pics I'll post them.

I got it used. I could never wait that long for a build. I always got impatient waiting for Kiesels and their build times are short.

Holy shit, that was an average nice, solid 7/10 everyday guitar until I saw the neck. Deary me that is a phenomenal instrument! Stunning.
