I've had this guitar for a few weeks now and feel like I can give a quick review on it. I've wanted a PRS Mike Mushok pretty much since I first saw them in guitar world ads years ago. Silverburst has always one of my favorite finishes so this was basically a match made in heaven. Definitely doesn't hurt that I got this for a really good price ^_^ Aesthetics: It's a little beat up with buckle rash and a paint chip near the 3 way switch, and the hardware/screws on the pickup rings are a bit corroded, but I don't care since I bought this as a beater/modding platform. I wish the silver was a bit more sparkly but it's not a huge deal, since I could always refinish it later. Playability: I've never been a fan of PRS neck heels (I'm still not a fan of it) but the neck is fast and comfy for me. It's basically a strat esque neck profile from what I can tell. Action was a bit high for the guitar when I got it, with the saddles on the bridge being nearly maxed out and pretty thick strings on it for playing in drop b. I set the guitar up and now it plays quite well. The frets are dressed so there's no sharp edges, there's no dead spots or fretting out, and the nickel frets are holding up well even though I'm the third owner. Sound: Obviously the most important aspect. This guitar feels powerful, with notes reverberating throughout the body and the pickups delivering a thick punchy sound that's perfect for sludgier rock/metal like Down, Crowbar, Mastodon, Kyuss, Clutch. This guitar has great sustain too. The neck pickup is smooth and works well for cleans or high gain lead work, but the real star is still the bridge pickup. I've never been so satisfied with a stock pickup before. Seriously, this bridge pickup into my boogie or my kemper sounds awesome.
