Shall Men behold the Silver Tree,
Or West Wind blow again between the Mountains and the Sea?

So, got it this morning 30 minutes before having to leave for work. Wich means....no new pictures for now. Sorry, sorry, sorry, I'll do some tomorrow, promise. It was pictures or not being able to play it for a few minutes before leaving...guess what I chose.

    Here are the "old" ones.

So, I could play it for 30 minutes tops. Fits me like a glove, which is kind of the point of a custom, I'd say. I didn't ask for anything outlandish specs-wise, I just searched at the beginning for a luthier who had what I wanted and was in Europe.

Neck-through hard rock maple neck with alder wings,
25"5, 24 SS frets,12”-16” compound radius, hipshot bridge with SS saddles, Lundgren M6, ,volume knob, schaller straplocks. Designed to be played in drop A/B standard with a 60-13 set.So, first off the box, the craftsmanship is something like I have *never* seen *ever*. This is the highest end guitar I have owned, but have had the occasion of playing/look at/fondle lots of high end stuff and this one is among the best of them. Fretwork is impeccable, inlay is just what I wanted and is masterfully done. The pickup cover is a bonus, I didn't think of asking for one and Tomi just said "Oh and I added this". Paint job is perfect and so full of small details and attention. I like how it's not garish and stays classy while still being sophisticated.

Plugged it into the axefx and riffed for a good half hour on it. The lundgren M6 is something I never played before and with the wood combinations it is a very bright combination, but not overly so. Perfect for modern folk/black metal. That's about all I can say for now, since I then had to run to catch the bus to work. Oh, setup and intonation were perfect, too. Note that as a miracle, the UPS guy actually came to my door and phoned, for once.

Only gripe I have with it, is the (good quality) case is an open one not specifically designed to hold a RR so if I want to move it (move it) I'll likely buy a Jackson molded one or a flight case. Inside were some Amfisound and Lundgren goodies, a Tshirt, a nice wide leather strap with the Amfisound logo and some string sets they added to the pile of stuff.

So, new and numerous pics tomorrow, promise.

EDIT: bunch of midnight pics with a halogen lamp as lighting.....

Not being able to see it is killing me

That's an amazing guitar, I normally go for really simple stuff but have always gassed for an Amfisound, I love all things Norse.

Did the artist paint it with his blood, sweat, semen, and tears? Because I want to.

THAT is metal. How can you even play that without the constant impulse to bludgeon someone with it?
