This one took a lot of twists and turns along the way but its now finished . Build thread here http://sevenstring.org/threads/routing-horror-new-fanned-rustic-7-killer.326135/

Its as red as it looks in the pics.
Pippy Elm top with natural sound holes.
Spalted Birch back (from a tree I cut a few years ago).
Quilt Mahogany and and Elm neck.
Pippy Elm ferret, 25.5 to 27.5 fan, jumbo frets.
    Pippy elm headstock cap.
    EMG TWS pickups.
    Red LED lights inside body.
Battery drawer for x2 9v bats on bottom of guitar near strap button.
Home made bridge with rust treatment then blood splat treatment. Yes I did save some blood when I changed the dressing the morning before the operation ( it poured out as soon as I removed the bandage so I couldn't resist) and put it in the paint mix for the blood splat effect.
All rear screws, washers ,ferrules have rust treatment and blood splat.
Tuners were red powder coated then blood splat treated.
    Blood splat clear control knobs.

This is a really light guitar so it has a lead coil in the body. It sounds unbelievably good so I'm happy as fook.

Damn. Human blood and actual heavy metal in the guitar. That's about as metal as you can get.

A built-in lead coil for that authentic heavy metal sound.

Who needs tattoos when you can build guitars to tell your life stories? This is really cool. I'm going to add it to my every growing list of favorite pondman builds.

In other news, I'm going to start eating healthy and working out, because I need to outlive pondman, so that whoever he wills these guitars to in 50 years can sell them to me.

Badass as always. Really like how the tuners/saddles/bridge plate turned out.

Best yet, Al! Top to bottom, front to back, it kicks ass! Great timbers and I love the lil swoopy inlay.

Really kicking my arse to get back building.

That looks like it belongs in a butcher shop. And is only used to play cannibal corpse.

I say that as a former butcher.

I always flock to your new guitar threads, but this is above and beyond. As a big-time horror movie fan, those slasher f-holes are about as awesome as it gets.

This one is absolutely amazing. I really like how inlay looks a bit "randomized", but it actually follows traditional inlay layout.

I recognize the job you have done here and it is very well done but I have to say that this is your first build I don't like. Just personal taste, you know, but that's a lot of work for that finish. Well done as usual!
