    This was an awesome find!

I traded an EBMM Silhouette for this, and I'm really happy with it. I've never had a PRS before, and it's neat actually owning one.

Apparently these are pretty rare, the ones like this that have the Fralin Domino pickups especially, so I'm lucky to have her.

She's from '92, though, so she's not perfect. The frets are pretty rusty, and the fretboard is as dry as a desert. I got some fret polish and F-1 fretboard oil on their way, so we'll fix that right up. Figured I'd share this one with you all, lots of PRS fans around here.

Here's some rudimentary specs, they're a bit difficult to dig up.

EG BOLT-ON SERIES II: 1992 - 1995. Rounder shape. Alder body, wide thin maple neck, 22-fret rosewood fretboard. Scratchplate mounted pickups in three formats, h/s/h, s/s/h, s/s/s, volume, tone, 5-way selector, coil taps, PRS tremolo, locking machines. EG bolt-on maple top adds three piece maple, ‘10’ option.

Sharp guitar. Really dig that burst! What's the neck joint like on these? Can't say I'm familiar with this model.

    Happy NGD!

ooh triple pickup setup AND tobacco burst, I dig it.
from what I've seen it looks like it's a bolt on joint similar to say the dustie waring model, with the same neck heel as other prs.

That's right, it's a bolt on but it goes inside the body.

    Praise the sun!

When this was initially offered to as trade, I thought for a moment that it was some kind of Silver Sky I hadn't seen yet. Very similar concepts!

    They did from '92-95.

There were a few kinds, ranging from EG1-3, I believe. They had different things going on on each model, some have Seymour Duncan pickups, some have housemade s/s/s, h/s/s and so on, but for a very short while they made the ones that I have, which have noiseless Domino pickups made by Lindy Fralin. Apparently PRS lost a good deal of money on these, kind of like Fender did with 'the Strat', so they went out of production pretty quickly and are pretty coveted.

I didn't know any of this, of course, until I was offered this and spent every waking moment googling it for a few days.

They reintroduced it as an SE model for a short bit.

I've seen the SE's from time to time. I joked with my singer that I would find two (which our national chain actually had in) to annoy all the strat guys.

Now I'm a strat guy
