The other choice if I recall correctly were walnut and maple. I like maple, but I've got it for my Ibanez 6 string guitars. I saw Florian try out a cherry neck so I figured, let's try it out. It's nice. It's not as dark or oily as rosewood. I can't say how much of the sound is attributed to the cherry neck, but acoustically this guitar is loud and bright. There are no glue joints, just a bolt on construction. Control layout is definitely cool, but as I mentioned before, forget trying to interact it with in middle of a song. The other models he has are not symmetrical (single cuts etc.). I'm very happy with this guitar as I'd say it's one of my more traditional guitars oddly enough.
