So I was trying to get a fan fret Regius 8 with a Regius Pepper top when this one came on the market at a great price. Y'all probably seen this one from NAMM... Here is how the original owner spec'ed it out: -V Frets 25.5"-27"Multiscale 8 option -Black Limba body chambered -Zebrano top handpicked by Mayones owner -11 piece wenge, maple, mahogany, padouk neck -Birdseye Maple fretboard -20" fretboard radius -Offset on treble side Abalone inlays -Jumbo Stainless frets -Luminlay glow in dark side dots -Curly maple hybrid binding on entire guitar -Custom ordered BKP slanted Aftermath/VHII pickups -Custom made Zebrano Volume knob -Custom volume placement, 3 way toggle switch -Natural matte oiled finish, back body trans matte black natural -Thinner flatter neck profile Brothers...or Sisters depending on how you look at it This is my first venture into guitars with this high craftsmanship and I'm entirely impressed. I checked every spot and pore on this and there is not one fault. Guitar was tuned and setup perfect straight from the case. Very well built but there are a few things that bother me (probably just me). Since the controls are recessed I find it a lil difficult to pull on the push-pull vol knob so I think it would be better with a push-push. I'll probably wire that in someday, but it's most definitely not a deal breaker. Then there's the bridge pickup placement. The slanted pickups are parallel to each other which makes the body curves/design flow nicely. For me I feel like the bass side could be slanted a wee bit more towards the bridge for more clarity, but I honestly haven't had a good day off to turn the amp up to 11/tinker with pickup height/change 8th string gauge to make a clear conclusion. This is also my first fan fret (first of many) and it took very little time to adjust, feels normal actually. Other than that this Regius is a keeper for life .
