I received this a few months back.

    Specs:
    • Buckeye Burl top with black burst
    • Ash body
    • Ebony fretboard
    • 11-ply neck (maple, mahogany, amazakoe, wenge)
    • 25.4" scale
    • Originally came with a set of Seymour Duncan's that I switched to BKP Silo's
Great build quality. Perfect frets. Low action. A little more heft than I thought, but I dig it. My first experience with a Mayones and they knocked it out of the park.

    It's just fun to play.

The Silo's are very responsive and reward right hand dynamics. The coil split sound is great on these. I was honestly planning on Warpigs in this one, but digging the Silo's for now.

Wow! Killer build! That top is immense...exactly how I like a Buckeye top to look.

HNGD love that top, and wish my Regius had a hipshot bridge rather than the ABM one

Thanks, guys. I know buckeye is hit or miss with a lot of folks (I like 'em).

The Silos were a surprise. I couldn't find a lot of info on them, but took the leap. Comparisons to a lower output/less compressed Warpig are pretty accurate.

    Que guapo, looks very beautiful!

I always wonder what's the technical terminology for the flat top vs 'curvy' top Regius models? I'm a sucker for the flat ones and can't stand the carving ones.

Also, did you order this directly from mayones? Could you elaborate the procedure? I really dislike that they have no hint whatsoever on their website where prices start for the models. But I'm guessing we are over 3k (€) anyway, right?

Strandberg did a burl top and it was absolutely nothing special... you had to place it in bright sunlight to see the grain or texture. In a regularly lit room you would think it was dark grey or black.

Flat tops = standard Regius models
Carved tops = Regius Core and Core classic

Crazy how nice buckeye burl looks when it’s a GOOD piece and the finish lets it shine.

I nabbed the concrete shots from the dealer's page. No scratches on the back. You can tell my pictures by the multiple levels of protection under the neck! :D

Kovah answered the one on the top--Regius Core for curved top. The newer models do have the slope on the forearm rest which is great.

I did not order this one through Mayones. You're right on the price point.

Yeah, they killed it on this.
