First off, Thank you Zjon at Zjon's Guitarstore on Reverb for being an incredible guy throughout this process. Great communication with setting up the guitar and making sure I was in the loop with everything. This was stuck in customs for about 2 weeks but it's finally here.

    Specs first:
Body: Mastergrade Selected Curly Redwood, Profiled Swamp Ash 2pc body, Natural Wood Binding
    Construction: Neck-thru-body

    Fingerboard: Ebony
    Fingerboard Radius: 16″ (406 mm)

    Frets: 24 x medium jumbo
Markers & inlays: Luminlay Side dots
Headstock: Angled, topped with body matching Flamed Maple wood
    Tuners: Sperzel Trim-Lok
    Bridge: Hipshot Fixed bridge, strings-thru-body
Pickups/Electronics: Bare Knuckle Aftermath set, gold screws
Control: 1 x Volume (push-pull for coil splitting), 1 x Tone, 3 way blade switch
    Knobs: Gold dome knob
Body finish (front): Natural satin finish
Body finish (back): Natural satin finish
    Neck finish: Natural satin finish
    Headstock finish: Body matching
    Hardware colour: Gold

I've had this guitar for about 24 hours and haven't been able to put it down. It's really magical when an instrument speaks to you and this one is screaming. The aftermath set in swamp ash is a bit brighter than my other instruments but playing around with other axefx patches and messing with the tone knob occasionally puts it in the right space.

    The neck. THE NECK.
The neck is by far the best guitar neck I've ever played. Having tried a bunch of Aristides, EBMM, Blackmachine etc, this thing is bullet fast. The satin finish is incredible and looks phenomenal with the 11pc construction. That combined with the PLEK'd frets and gorgeous ebony fretboard make this neck a 10/10 in playing experience.

The top is so three-dimensional when in good light. It works really well with gold hardware. I'm not usually one to opt for gold but damn she does it right. Having a nice matching headstock is a bonus :yesway:

As I mentioned previously, this thing is incredibly mean sounding. Definitely brighter than my JP6 and 060 but it growls very well in the mid range. Think SD alpha/omega but brighter. Also has a ton of snap to it despite it being neck thru. BKP Aftermaths in a swamp ash body really create an unbelievable sound.

Overall i'm beyond pleased with this purchase. Once again, Thank you Zjon. Thank you Mayones, and thank you SSorg community for fueling my GAS for all of these years

This is one of the most stunning Mayones A regius with no binding and a redwood top? Where do I sign?

Love the Hannes on my QATSI, but I don't think it's so much better than a Hipshot. Hipshots are great too!

    Gotta love these cases too!

HNGD, the redwood and high grade Koa on some of their models atm are incredible.

I've got aftermaths in my Regius too, and find them good for live use but wouldn't be my chosen pickup in the studio
