This is my third Duvell (1 standard, 1 Qatsi).
Quality is typical Mayones - absolutely flawless with great attention to detail.

For anyone interested in deck profile, I’d call it a slim C - thinner than fender, fatter than Ibby, similar to ESPs thin U but more c shaped and with a flatter profile.

It has the standard SD Nazgul and Sentient pickups - far from my favourite in standard tuning but in D standard and lower they are excellent. No current plans to change them.

I cannot understate how much I like this guitar. Mayone’s have addressed my only grumble with the old model (lack of arm carve). I will be selling my old Duvells and replacing with new shape (I may keep the standard).

    Looks incredible.

What wood is the body made from?

Love it! glad the facelift they gave the Duvells is going down well too - does this one have the TKO pickups?

The facelift makes a very good guitar great in my opinion. Nice touches.

This one has the SD Nazgul/Sentient set. I think to get the one with BKPs was an extra £400 so not really worth it to me

    That's one beautiful instrument.

But IMO the back is prettier than the top, so I'd have build it the other way around.

That's a great looking combination of woods.
I dig the volume knob position- I wish more builders put the knobs "out of the way".

Oooo, is that on all Duvell models now? I play sitting 100% of the time and find it tough going on guitars with no arm carve/contour. If the Duvell has one now, this might be my ideal guitar.

The Duvell and Standard Regius (Non-Core) both have been overhauled with arm cuts and other changes to the body to make them more comfortable.

That’s even better news! I’ve always loved the look of the Regius!

Oh no, I think G.A.S. is kicking in...

they refreshed the model in 2019. If buying just check the pic of the back, if it has 4 screws for the neck joint rather than 6 it will have the arm carve.

This weekend I will be photographing and listing some guitars so I can replace my OG standard Duvell. A guitar I love but I want that arm carve!

im usually cautious around the honeymoon effect but as I’ve owned a few and have instantly bonded with this one, I know it’s a keeper
