Well after a failed attempt at trying to buy a 1000 series arrow (arrived with a severe chunk of the top horn missing) I decided to try something different.

My main 7 (1999 RG7620) is showing signs of it’s age (needs a regret) so I decided to get another 7. I decided on this model. These were made in both Korea and Indonesia, mines Korean (WMI). Battle ready to go right off the bat, EMG 81 and a Floyd. My first EMG equipped guitar, and I love the tones!!! It sounds really good, and sustains very well. It’s my first set thru neck guitar.

It’s got what I’d consider some non-issues that come with guitars in the 1K range. But nothing that affects playability which is one of the areas it excels in. The mahogany is really pretty, the top has little to no figuring. Which I could care less. The color is really neat.

I think ESP discontinued this model. But in my opinion this plays as well as my RG7620. I will give an update in a few weeks, but I doubt my feelings will change about this one. It’s a keeper, and I’ll probably pick up an LTD 87 M1 series as well because I enjoy this one so much and need another 6 to tune to D.

That’s so nice looking, glad to hear it’s awesome! Congrats on a new beastly guitar. I think you’re right, that this was discontinued along with the blue and red 6-string counterparts. Bummer, I never got to try these out in person. Stoked for you, I hope you get years out of it!

Congrats! I’ve been eyeing these. I love my E-II M-II NT7 because of the hard tail but wouldn’t mind getting this one with a trem.

Very nice! I was expecting the back to be black or some kind of very dark stain, but was positively surprised. :)

Congrats. I've always wanted one of these, is it pretty heavy weight wise?

Not at all. It’s very close in weight to my 7620. I’ll weigh it proper tonight.
