I still love my Charvel reissue but I am super impressed with the KM7 MK-iii. Nothing new, I know I'm like a year late but wow this guitar is pretty amazing.

95% perfect. Plays fantastic and sounds incredible. I was very impressed with the neck pickup, especially in the middle voicing. Literally THE neck tone I've always wanted. Can't give this guitar enough praise. I've seen all the issues people have had with the binding but I got this used and no issues.

If I have to force myself to find something bad it would be all those little divots on the back. They look cool but I don't like how I can feel them with my thumb on the back of the neck when I play. It isn't a huge deal and not super annoying, definitely can deal with it but would prefer silky smooth. Just find that to be a very odd thing.

Otherwise the guitar is a 9/10 for me. Perfect neck profile, plays easy, sounds incredible. Win.

Nice! A burl I actully like too. It looks like it got a black eye in a fight. I think there might be a cure for those divots like some type of sealer or wax or something then sand smooth, not sure though. Maybe worth looking into it.

They all seem fairly good. All tucked in and smooth.

The last few frets on the treble side do seem to stick out slightly farther then the rest but barely and they arent sharp at all. Just like the last 3 or 4 frets.

I didn't even really notice how porous the neck was when I played honestly

Depends on the piece of wenge they used, how it's cut, etc. Personally it's never bothered me on wenge necked guitars, as long as they're not super dried out.

I don't know what kind of finish schecter puts on those but a little beeswax polish can make wenge feel reeeeeeal nice.

That neck is really nice on the eyes. What pickups are in it?

Beautiful guitar. Try not to let the large pores bug you too much. The KM7 MK-III was heavily inspired by Mayones’ Duvell Elite, which also sports a porous wenge neck. I have several and that’s just what wenge looks like, regardless of the manufacturer. If you can get past the visual difference of wenge vs. more traditional, tighter-grain options like maple or mahogany, then getting used to the feel should be pretty easy.

Yeah, it's not a problem, just different than I'm used to. Didn't know about those necks having pores. Pretty awesome though and it's a super nice guitar. Would like to try a Mayones one day too.

I especially like the fret dot markers or whatever those things are called, very tastefully done.
Can't say I am a huge fan of the color but it seems to flow nicely.
    Enjoy!

I tried one of the KM-II's with the fishmans and they sound pretty good, although I was playing through a katana at low ass volumes.

If only the MK-III's came with floyds in the dracula burst color they have I would be so stoaked.

Anyways congrats on the NGD and I am glad you enjoy your schecter! So far in this price category along with other things considered, nobody does it as good as schecter.
