I got this 2007 JEM7V-WH as part of a trade. My brother has an older one with an ebony board. They've been coming with rosewood boards since 2003(?). I thought I'd have a problem with that, since I generally don't like rosewood, but it looks and feels great.

I was also surprised by the pickups. The stock DiMarzio bridge pickup in my RG3550MZ was pretty bad, so I didn't have high expectations for the EVO's, but they sound damn good, even for metal.

I got a pretty good deal on this guitar, and I love it, but I'll probably trade it for a 77V if I can find someone who's interested. So if you have one, let me know!

Might be the lighting. It's a very balanced piece of rosewood, with a lot of lighter coloring.

Nice. The real dimarzios and the Dimarzio/IBZ crap are completely different.

His does too, look at the first picture again, it's hard to see from the lighting but you can see the shadow in the scallops. It's definitely there just harder to see since it's lighter brown and not much direct light on there. :)

Congrats man, they have one of those at my local GC and I picked it up once when I was hanging out with Ryan and was surprised at how much I dug it. :yesway: Very nice guitars and the fretwork was great on the one I tried so if yours is the same you have a nice piece there! :hbang:

Yeah, it came with a Tone Zone in the bridge. Very strange sounding pickup, in my opinion.

The last 4 are scalloped, it's just hard to see from the crappy lighting / pictures.
