This arrived today after waiting over a year and I cannot even deal with how awesome it is. The best guitar Jackson has ever built me. Sounds and feels absolutely perfect. It's actually 1/2 of an order I made quite a while ago, I've got another on the way with a really interesting finish!

    - 29.5” scale
    - Richlite fretboard
    - Graphtec nut
    - Luminlay side dots
    - Roasted maple neck through with 2x graphite reinforcement rods
    - Alder wings with 1/4” maple top
    - BKP impulse pickups
    - BKP/CTS 550k & 280k volume pots
    - HIPSHOT locking tuners
    - Evertune bridge
    - middle position inner coil/hum cancel
    - Dunlop flushmount straploks
    - strung up with 12-80 D’Addario
    - tuned D# G# D# G# C# F A#

This is my first guitar with a richlite board and I'm an instant convert. It looks great and feels super slick. The colour and tone is indiscernible from ebony. It's cheaper, more consistent, won't split, won't sprout frets, and far more ethical in comparison to ebony lumber supplies. Considering all of these points I'd say Richlite is the superior material if you're going for a dark/plain fretboard and I'd encourage you all to give it a go!

The scale length wasn't a huge hurdle for me and the guitar isn't actually that much bigger than my 27" ones as the bridge is set fairly far back. They really knocked it out with the design on this, it balances great and there's zero issues with playability on the higher frets. I really couldn't be happier with it and I know already how incredibly valuable it will be to have in the studio.

It's beautiful, I love the humbucker/singlecoil layout, that's something I would go for too, if I would be in the market for custom guitars.

Looks super clean. Not usually into black guitars but this is dope.

Any timeline on your sig? I’d get one for sure because I miss my old B7.

So THATS why you said the case was long on Instagram. Love that it’s a richlite board! I def would love to see it on more guitars.

Also obligatory: Pro Series. Pro Series. Pro Series.

When I read 29” scale I was thinking you ordered a short scale bass lol. Looks rad, looking forward to the other half! Congrats

by FAR the coolest one you've had so far (though all are 10/10), something about 28 inch+ 7 strings just hits right

Very nice! Can you order Richlite boards on Custom Select? Or is that a masterbuilt option?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but ever since Custom Select's inception all 7-strings, as well as extended scale lengths in general, are Masterbuilt now no?

As far as I know, yes. I am just curious about the richlite option for custom selects, since the ebony on new custom selects that I have seen are not as good as previous ebony boards that have been dyed uniformly.

I’m not sure if it can be had on a custom select, this one was a master build.
