I've been looking for this guitar for 12 long years. It's a RG20063. I finally found one and jumped on it. It sounds amazing (the mahogany back helps) and plays great. Also, it looks really cool. I've already had tons of compliments about it at the gigs I've played with it. There's a coworker of mine who has one as well and I've been bugging him for about a year and a half to sell it to me. About once or twice a month I would check online and see if one would pop up. I would message people on any website I could find who had or did have one. Old threads from 10 years ago, random Instagram users who had them, people on Facebook who had them, it didn't matter I would message them and ask to buy it. This one turned up at a guitar shop in Texas and I called and bought it. So now 2 of them are owned by 2 employees of the same place. The odds of that are pretty slim since they only made (around) 60.

Yeah man this one is the coolest of the 3 for sure. I’m the second owner of the guitar. It’s got a little buckle rash on the back near the neck join screws but it’s not bad at all. And there’s a little ding in the back of one of the horns but I don’t mind. I’m going to play it anyway so I’m sure I’ll give it a few new dings and dents in the future.

Very cool! You really have to be vigilante to snag some of these harder to find RG's.

Super cool, I'm surprised there isn't more puzzle topped guitars out there. You could really get crazy with wood combinations.

Nice! Back in 06 07 i got back into playing. Went to a music go round they had the natural one mint for around $1100. Bought it but at the end of the return period i took it back...... i felt it was too expensive considering i could get 80s and 90s RGs for around $2 to 300 then...... Best playing Ibanez ive ever had sounded amazing! The one that got away. And i found your post googling these looking to buy. My wife is actuall on board me getting one (for a sane price that is)

Don't you work for PRS? I wouldn't be too too surprised to see two employees of a guitar company owning two rare guitars ;)
These things are cool though and totally quintessential Ibanez. Glad you finally got to score one!

They did so many super cool, super limited runs that it's honestly pretty difficult to pick out only one or two to search for haha

Edit: I just realized this is a necro thread! Consider my congratulations retroactive. Kind of amazed I missed this NGD when it was originally posted!

You've contacted me 3 years ago about buying mine but as you can understand by managing to get one why I wouldn't sell and why it will stay with me untill I passed it on to the next generation! It's such an awesome playing and looking guitar!
Congratulations for being able to get one of your dream guitars!

You sporadically hear the verse from Tool - Schism following you from a distance until you find it.

Sidenote, I love the Edge Pro bridge. It doesn't get enough appreciation these days.
